It's An Honor Just to Have Been Nominated

What Japan Thinks is holding a contest for "best Japan" blogs in a variety of categories and one of my kind readers nominated me in the category of "personal blogs". If any of my other kind readers would like to pop over and vote for me, I'd be grateful. :-) You can vote at this link.

Even if I don't win, I'm pleased that What Japan Thinks is holding this contest because it will encourage folks to check out a variety of blogs they may have been unaware of previously.

Although I've only been reading your blog for about a month or so, I voted for you. :)

Congrats! I voted for you...and you are ahead with 11 votes at 11pm ET!

You have a great blog, not just about Japan, but life in general. Your blog is a pleasure to read, and is definitely worthy of an award.

Thanks, mjgolli! You are so great for my ego (which is actually normally pretty deflated). I appreciate that you took the time to vote for me.

I love your blog as well, btw. I read everything you post and it makes me feel more connected to life back home as your topics are the sort of things that I used to think about when I lived back home. I guess it also doesn't hurt that you live in Ohio which was my "neighbor" growing up in Pennsylvania. In fact, I almost went to grad. school at Ohio State University!
