My guess is that you get very little cash and a greater amount of store credit. In your situation though, obviously, a little cash is better than a lot of credit.

I can't guarantee this information is correct as I've never sold to Book Off but this is what I've heard.

Thanks for reading, B!Sharihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17419851636570519145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33409496.post-24410289230600846852007-10-24T17:02:00.000+09:002007-10-24T17:02:00.000+09:00Could anyone tell me if BOOK OFF gives cash for go...Could anyone tell me if BOOK OFF gives cash for good quality used books, or just credit? I'm leaving Japan so I'm not really interested in credit. While I haven't shopped around a whole lot, the used book stores in my area appear to offer somewhere around 20%, and they don't offer a different amount based on store credit or cash. If I could find a better return rate, my bookshelf might be less cluttered ;)Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05257477691404966619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33409496.post-34132755550622754872007-06-26T23:59:00.000+09:002007-06-26T23:59:00.000+09:00If you're looking to get rid of books outside the ...If you're looking to get rid of books outside the Tokyo area, there's also a Yahoo Group called TellandSellJapan. Many English speaking people use it to dispose of books and even household goods.

I've never personally bought or sold anything on it, but I know there have been lots of happy users.
